Packaging of negative pressure therapy dressings

Negative pressure therapy dressing packaging includes a variety of components for a sealed, sterile system, primarily a reticulated, open-cell foam or sterile gauze, an occlusive adhesive film, and sometimes a silicone layer or other interface. The foam and film are packaged sterilely for application to the wound, and the packaging is designed to maintain sterility until use, allowing for an aseptic no-touch technique during application.
